    I’m not too surprised…unforeseen consequences like this are to be expected when releasing genetically modified crops into the wild. Our understanding of the way genes can be transferred is not sufficient to really understand the dangers of genetically modified crops.
    That said, I think that genetically modified plants can be useful, but can also be very dangerous.
