Data Dilemma

Various folks at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism have done some great work, which they call Data Dilemma: Privacy in an Age of Security.
I was led to this by various stories about the US Department of Education feeding information on financial aid applicants to the DHS for five years without bothering to inform those supplying the information.
Coincidentally, the program stopped ten days after Medill grad student Laura McGann started asking about it. Her report should be widely read.
