I couldn't have said it better, myself

Pseudonymous contributor “DK”, of Josh Marshall’s blog expresses several worthy thoughts about national character with a brevity and nuance I envy:

OK, I’ll admit to a bias here. I think the Netherlands is one of the best places on the planet. They have our entrepreneurial spirit, but with good taste. Like us, they have completely altered much of their natural environment, but to aesthetically pleasing effect. They have their own exotic language, but nearly everyone speaks English better than we do.
So chalk this up as just another reason to love the Dutch: While Britain, Australia and New Zealand are broadcasting “The Path to 9/11” on Sunday evening, one Dutch network is airing Michael Moore’s “Farenheit 9/11” and the conspiracy flick “Loose Change.”

Updated to reflect proper authorship. Thanks, Thomas!

  • That’s not Josh Marshall.

  • Duane says:

I don’t know weather to be disgusted or annoyed or worst with Australian TV stations.
I try to avoid all the US propaganda, after all they’re crying in the US about a few thousand tops, when many many more round the world suffer far worst fates it’s utterly despicable they make such a song an dance about it, and yet fail so miserably to show any kind of empathy for others.
I can’t help but quote my dad in times like this “keeping the hate alive”
