Can We Talk Sith Yet?
I mean, really. If you mind spoilers, you’ve seen Revenge of The Sith already. Ok, maybe not. So I’ll just throw a few comments out. Marginal Revolution discusses The public choice economics of Star Wars: A Straussian reading. I’m surprised that Tyler misses the Hayekian aspect. That is, other people’s choices are so complex that even Jedi and Sith able to see the future make poor decisions. Not a good omen for centralized decision making.
Stefan Geens has a nice post about the names of Star Wars.
There seem to be a whole class of reviewers ripping into the movie to show how smart/urbane/clever they are. They don’t get any links, because they’re at jerks and petulant spoilsports. Nothing could live up to the expectations set for this movie. It was great. I’m going to go see it again this weekend.
But one question. In one of the Jedi Temple scenes, there’s a young Jedi kicking some ass…Is that Ghyslain Raza, the Star Wars kid? IMDB doesn’t list him, but…
Just came back from seeing it – I agree it was worth seeing. I look forward to reading your links and future comments! (First a little sleep)
I thought the young jedi was Lucas’s son Jett.
oooh, looks like you’re right. This picture http://zuul.gotdns.com/swunknown/HF/img/jettlucas.jpg shows him in Clones. (From http://zuul.gotdns.com/swunknown/HF/HF_2.htm, where the link is wrong.)
